City Has Busy Day Planned

The City of Clayton is set to meet this week.

The Clayton city council has a busy Tuesday planned, with the first budget workshop of the year beginning at 3pm and a regularly scheduled work session taking place at 4:30. A special called meeting to discuss water and sewer consolidation is set for 5:30 Tuesday afternoon, to be followed by an executive session.

During the special called meeting, Clayton City Manager Cissy Henry said last week the council would discuss an offer to the county for consolidation, but no details about what that offer would be were given.

In executive session, the council is set to discuss litigation and real estate.

Some items of interest on the agenda for the 4:30 work session on Tuesday include information regarding SPLOST, the Clayton Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority, and the Waste Water Centrifuge.
