Chase Last Week Ends in Crash

The Georgia State Patrol explains how a car chase that began in Rabun County Wednesday concluded.

The chase began in the city of Dillard, and continued through Habersham County and into White County, where the GSP took over the pursuit.

Trooper Travis Sanders with the Georgia State Patrol said that the chase ended on Westmoreland Road at TS Drive, where the driver made contact with a trooper’s vehicle he crashed.

“One of the occupants of the vehicle took off running for the woods, and was apprehended a very very short time later,” said Sanders. “The other occupants of the vehicle were also taken into custody.”

The vehicle had a total of four occupants, who will all face drug charges. The driver will face additional traffic violations.
