‘Cats Fall in First Round

The Rabun County Wildcats High School Football Season comes to an end.

Friday night, Rabun County played in their first playoff game since 1998, and while the team played hard, they fell to a still undefeated Heard County team 56-29.

At the end of the first quarter, the game was tied at 7, but the Heard County Braves poured it on in the second quarter, leading to a 35-7 score at halftime.

Both teams would add three touchdowns to that score in the second half, including a 2 point conversion by the Wildcats, to arrive at the game’s final score of 56-29.

With the loss, Rabun County finishes the season with a record of 6-5, their first winning season since 2000.
