Carol Vanderwalker

Carol Kelly Vanderwalker, 68, of Tiger, GA passed away on September 27, 2021 at her home on Spring House Valley Drive.

Born in Dade County, FL on March 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Paul Kelly and Jenne Stewart Kelly . During her childhood her parents owned land in Rabun County and she always loved coming to the mountains and later moved here to Rabun County. In her professional life she was an accountant for the Miami Museum of Science. She was a member of the Clayton United Methodist Church and also the National Geographic Smithsonian.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived be her husband, Jim Vanderwalker, of the home, a son, Phillip Charles (Erica Hogan) of Boston, MA and by two brothers, Paul Kelly, Jr. (Robin) of Miami, FL and Matthew Kelly of North Florida. Two grandchildren also survive.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to Clayton First United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 3:00pm-4:00pm with a funeral service directly following with Pastor Zack Martin officiating. Burial will be at Rabun Memory Park.

The family is at the home on Spring House Valley Drive in Tiger, GA.
