Bundle Up Your Kids for the Bus Stop

The winter chill has arrived in the mountains of Northeast Georgia and it is getting cold outside, especially if you are a student waiting on the school bus on a cold morning.  Rabun County Schools Superintendent Dr. April Childers advises parents to bundle up your kids for the bus stop. “All parents should really take the time to make sure they are layering their kids and putting gloves and hats on them.  We want them to be as warm as they can be when they get on that bus. So, just taking time to ensure that they are wearing gloves, hats, and scarves. Then our bus drivers are ensuring that we have warm buses for them to get onto.” Ideally, parents should wait at the school bus stop with their kids in the car offering more time in the warmth before students have to board the bus.
