Braves belt Homers to beat Twins
The Atlanta Braves snapped their losing streak by belting homers against the Minnesota Twins for a 12-7 victory Tuesday night. Having lost three of their previous four games, the offense came alive on the first pitch when the Braves’ Ronald Acuna Jr. sent the first pitch over the center-field wall for his sixth leadoff homer of the season and the 14th of his career, reports ESPN. Not to be outdone, Freddie Freeman smacked a three-run homer in the fourth inning to keep pace with Acuna for the team lead in homers with 28. With the win, the Braves’ record improves to 67-48 on the season. Atlanta and Minnesota play game 3 of the series today at 1:10pm.
