Bow Hunting Season Starts This Weekend

Bow hunters across the state of Georgia can begin to hunt deer this weekend.

Bow season begins this Saturday, September 8th. John Bowers, assistant chief of Game Management with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, says that archery season in Georgia offers an excellent opportunity to bag a “quality buck.”

There are some hunting regulations to abide by. Hunters have a season bag limit of 10 antlerless deer and two antlered deer. To pursue deer in Georgia, hunters must have a valid hunting license, a big game license, and a current deer harvest record.
