Body Identified as Missing Kennesaw Man

The body found in Rabun County last weekend is identified.

Friday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Division of Forensic Science confirmed that the body found on Saturday, September 15th off the Bartram Trail in the Darnell Creek area is Richard Arnold Masters of Kennesaw, Georgia.

Sheriff Frank Andrews gave the few available details surrounding Master’s death.

“Our investigation is still open,” said Andrews. “It appears that his condition was self-inflicted.”

According to Rabun County Coroner Sam Beck, the family has already been notified.

Masters was last heard from nearly two months ago when he sent his brother a letter postmarked in the City of Clayton.
