BoC welcomes new CFO

As the New Year of 2019 has officially begun, two new commissioners took their official seats on the Board.

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners announced their new Chief Financial Officer David Conley, CPA began his career with Rabun County last week.

“Rabun County received several applications and after narrowing it down to three applicants and completing interviews, we were certain that David would not only do an outstanding job for Rabun County but would also be a perfect fit for us,” he said.

According to county officials, Conley brings with him over 12 years’ experience in local governmental accounting as well as governmental auditing.

Scott Crane, who was elected to serve as County Commissioner Post 5 back in November from the Georgia General Election, will also be another new face residents can expect to see at the next regularly scheduled BoC meeting.
