Benefit for Fire Victim in Clayton This Weekend
The City of Clayton is holding a benefit this weekend says City Manager Cissy Henry…
“One of our employees lost everything from a house fire, Tracy Turpin, she’s been with the city about 6 years now, and we’re doing a benefit for her to try to get things put back together in her life.”
The benefit started at 8 this morning with a yard sale in the City Hall Community Center and will continue on Saturday…
“Saturday we’ll have a yard sale from 8 to 2, and then from 2 we will start with the BBQ, we’ll have BBQ chicken, and then there’ll be a singing and auction that night. We’ve had a lot of people participate and donate to the cause, and we really appreciate it.”
There will also be a raffle and the auctions will be live as well as silent. Things should wrap up around 8 Saturday night.
