Altercation Leads to Wreck

Two accidents of interest take place last week on or near Highway 441.

The first occurred Sunday at the intersection of Savannah Street and Highway 441, and involved Billy Carrol Holcomb of Clayton and Dakota Ryan Foster of Franklin.

The report on file with the Clayton Police Department states that according to witnesses, Holcomb was crossing Highway 441 when he slammed on brakes and put the car in reverse, striking Foster.

Officers learned there had been an altercation between the two prior to the accident, and both were issued citations for disorderly conduct.

The second accident took place Tuesday in front of Racetrac on Highway 441 and closed all but the two outermost lanes for a time.

According to the report on file with the Clayton Police Department, Nate Reece Davis of Tiger pulled out of Racetrac and struck Jessica Anne Meadows who was traveling north on Highway 441.

The vehicles came to rest facing each other in the middle of the road.

Neither driver was injured severely enough to be transported.
