The Rabun County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in the Rabun County Courtroom.  The work session begins at 5:30pm followed by the regular meeting at 6pm.  Agenda topics include consider for approval the first reading of an amendment to the Rabun County Zoning Ordinance to regulate short-term rentals, consider the rezoning request from Jeff Gay for a variance from road’s edge from 25 feet to 15 feet on property zoned Residential (R1) and located at 420 Meeting House Mountain, consider for approval the rezoning request from Amy Langdon to rezone 1.018 acres of land on Lot 24, Land District 2, Parcel 051C 039 from Agricultural (A) to Vacation Cottage (VC), consider for approval the rezoning request from Seasons View Court to rezone land on Lot 31, Land District 13, Parcel LB09 009B from Commercial Business (CB) to Vacation Cottage (VC), consider for approval the low bid with Core & Main for the underground infrastructure to complete the line to the 750,000 gallon tank takeoffs on York House Road in the amount of $118,108.51 to be paid from SPLOST, consider for approval the low bid with Dale Construction for a North Water System Clayton Control Valve in the amount of $168,500.00 to be paid out of ARPA funds, consider for approval the request from Alan English, Solid Waste Director to surplus four items including a pickup, backhoe, Polaris, and dozer, consider the appointment or reappoint for a member on the Economic Development Board and the Board recommends the reappointment of John Dillard Jr., consider the appointment or reappoint for a member on the Tax Assessor Board and the Board recommends the reappointment of Jane Bingham, consider the appointment or reappoint for a member on the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority and the Board recommends the reappointment of Jerry Krivsky, consider the appointment or reappoint for a member on the Avita Community Partners Board and the Board recommends the reappointment of Kent Woerner, and consider for approval the letter of understanding with Rushton for the 2022 Audit.
