Agenda released for Clayton City Council Meeting

The Clayton City Council holds its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 4pm in the City Courtroom.  Also, the third and final public hearing to set the millage rate for the City takes place prior to the meeting at 3:30pm.  According to the agenda, the Council will approve the 2020 millage rate at 8.769 mils, discuss the Fall Jamboree selling alcohol, receive an update on the Smith Street development, consider the textmygov proposal, amend an ordinance for rezoning hearings, appoint three or more Council members or staff for reviewing the Board for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) process, appoint two members to the Downtown Development Board, request bids for heating and air as well as residential and household garbage, receive the monthly water and sewer status report, receive the Wastewater Plant monthly report, receive the Ad Valorem delinquent report, receive the Police Department monthly report, receive the financial status report, receive the Zoning Department report, hear an update on the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority, get an update on the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), and hold an executive session if necessary.  The meeting is open to the public and those attending are asked to wear a mask and social distance.
