Additional Charge Added Against Alleged Shoplifter

One other charge is filed against a man that allegedly tried to walk out of Family Dollar without paying for items.

On Monday evening, officers with the Clayton Police Department arrested a man who identified himself as Pedro Garcia on misdemeanor theft by shoplifting and drunk and disorderly, as well as obstructing or hindering law enforcement and escape when he attempted to run from officers while handcuffed.

He is now also charged with giving a false name, address, or birthdate to law enforcement, as his name is Carlos Orlando Chicas.

Also arrested in that incident was Carrie Owens Noble on the charges of drunk and disorderly, obstructing or hindering law enforcement, and interference with government property.
