A Clayton man is arrested for driving under the influence of multiple substances after a traffic stop on Wednesday of last week.

According to a report on file with the Clayton Police Department, officers initiated a traffic stop on forty six year old Jeffery Lynn Moss of Clayton after observing his Jeep weave over both the yellow center and white dotted lines on Highway 441 and strike a curb in the Walgreens parking lot.

The report states the officer smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle and that Moss admitted to taking a Loratab approximately two hours prior to the stop.

When Moss was taken to the Rabun County Detention Center, eight pills believed to be Loratab were found in his jacket pocket.

Moss is charged with DUI, Possession of Open Container of Alcohol, Prescription Drugs Must be in Their Original Containers, as well as traffic violations.

During the traffic stop, EMS treated Moss for a cut on his finger he said came from a skill saw.
