43 People voted Early on Saturday in Rabun County
The May 24th Primary Election is drawing near. People took advantage of Early Voting on Saturday in Rabun County, says Elections and Voter Registration Director Tammy Whitmire. “We had a pretty good turnout for this past Saturday, we had 43. So, we want to encourage those people that can’t get here Monday through Friday to take advantage of the upcoming Saturday. We have one more on May 14, and we will be open from 9am to 5pm.” Whitmire says several people in Rabun County have already cast ballots in the election. “For this first week, we are excited to say we’ve had 425 people cast their vote here in Early Voting. There is still time. We do want to remind if you want to vote a paper ballot that this coming Friday, which is May 13, is the last day you can turn in those applications to receive an absentee ballot by mail.” The Rabun County Board of Elections and Registration Office is located at 184 South Main Street, Suite 102 in Clayton, in the lower level of the Rabun County Health Department. All voting in Rabun County will take place at this location.
