36 Deaths now attributed to COVID-19 in Rabun County

Thirty-six deaths have now been attributed to COVID-19 in Rabun County.  According to the latest figures from the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have now been 1,414 cases of the deadly respiratory virus in Rabun County with 32 new cases reported in the last two weeks.  In other neighboring counties, Habersham County has had 4,518 cases and 136 deaths, White County lists 2,839 cases and 60 fatalities, and Towns County reports 973 cases and 37 deaths.  According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been a total of 806,119 positive cases of the virus across the state, of those, 54,883 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 14,689.
