2 arrested for trafficking heroin

Two individuals were arrested on trafficking charges after deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office seized a considerable amount of heroin.

According to Rabun County Sheriff Chad Nichols, the case is still under investigation and more individuals are likely to be charged for having involvement with the sale/distribution of illegal drugs (heroin).

Valerie Monique Castaneda, 23, of Lawrenceville, and Seiya Houdam Ker, 22, of Winder were arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin.

Ker was additionally charged with selling a schedule I or II controlled substance.
