High speed chase

Just in case you were in Mountain City on Tuesday and saw the end of a high speed chase,

According to  city of Clayton police dept an officer with the Dillard police dept had identified a stolen vehicle traveling southbound towards Clayton.

As the officer from Dillard followed the vehicle into Clayton  an officer with the city of Clayton police followed as well ,after the vehicle was  pulled over in what was described as a suspicious manner the  city of Clayton police officer approached the vehicle. After first complying with officers instruction the driver of the stolen vehicle speed off traveling northbound towards mtn city  after reaching speeds of 85 mph the chase ended after the driver and passenger abandoned their vehicle in a hay field in mtn city

After a brief confrontation at a house off of super bowl lane the suspects were arrested and transported to the Rabun County Detention Center.
