Woman Killed After Car Wreck in Pendleton, SC

A woman died after a pickup crossed over the lanes of U.S. 76 near Pendleton and hit her car on Friday.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore reported that 65-year old Constance Edwards of Greer was taken by medical helicopter to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she died a few hours after the wreck.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating whether to file charges against the man whose truck ran into Edwards’ car.

The collision happened about a mile and a half east of Pendleton. According to the accident report, 59-year old Morris Donald of Anderson crossed the centerline, striking Edwards’ car in the front and driver’s side.

Donald was taken to AnMed Health Medical Center for his injuries.
