50th District State Senator John Wilkinson said he is honored to serve on the Agricultural Advisory Committee formed by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, the Trump campaign named Wilkinson as one of the 65 men and women on the Agricultural Advisory Committee, joining other Georgians including current Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black and former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. Wilkinson currently serves as the Chairman of the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee in the Georgia State Senate.

In announcing the committee, Trump’s campaign said that the members of this committee are tasked with providing new ideas to strengthen the nation’s agricultural industry, as well as provide support to rural communities.
