Weather Causes Change in 8-AA Tournament

Also, due to weather, changes have been made to the GHSA 8-AA basketball tournament being played at Rabun County.

The girls tournament got underway last night, with Washington-Wilkes defeating Greene County, and Social Circle knocking off Oglethorpe County to advance to the next round being played on Friday.

Today, the boys tournament kicks off, but with a change. Due to the winter weather that affected most of North Georgia yesterday, Union County will not be able to travel to Tiger, and play their game with Washington-Wilkes. That game has been moved to tomorrow at 4PM.

Tonight, Greene County faces Oglethorpe County at 4:00PM, and the two-seeded Rabun County Wildcats will battle Social Circle at 5:30PM.

The next round for both the boys and girls tournament will be on Friday, with the consolation and championship games being held on Saturday.
