Two Towns County Natives Arrested in Connection With Drug Trafficking Organization

Three have been arrested in Towns County for their roles in a drug trafficking organization that expanded into multiple states.

On June 22, authorities with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office arrested Rebecca Davis, and Christopher Rose of Hiawassee, as well as Paige Lingerfelt of Hayesville, North Carolina following their connection to a drug trafficking organization.

According to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, this group has been responsible for trafficking multiple kilograms of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and pharmaceuticals in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The street value of the drugs seized at the home of Rebecca Davis was valued at approximately $1,200.

Rose, Davis, and Lingerfelt were arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, heroin, alprazolam, and marijuana. The investigation continues.
