Set in the magical land of Nocturno, “Still Life with Iris” chronicles a young girl’s quest to regain her memory and with it her home. In Nocturno, all the things one sees by day are made by the nightly citizens, while the rest of the world sleeps. The Elders of this magical land are determined to have the best of everything, and that includes having Iris as their model daughter. In order to keep her willingly by their side, the Elders steal Iris’s coat, the item where all citizens of Nocturno store their memories. With only a single button left from her memory coat, Iris sets out to rediscover her past and herself. Through a series of encounters with new friends, also reveals a wonderful secret that changes her future.

“In this play, Iris is on a quest to find family, home, a sense of belonging, and the meaning of perfection. It is a journey with which we can all relate,” said director John F. Spiegel. “Although this is a Theatre for Young Audiences show, I consider it a ‘Theatre For All’ piece,” he said. “Children and adults alike will love Iris and her determination, as well as the wild cast of characters she encounters along the way.”
