Ordinance Could Be Changed in Clayton

During the Clayton City Council Work Session held two weeks ago, city marshal Scott Crane discussed receiving interest in a type of alcohol establishment, a growler, that would like to set up shop in Clayton. A growler shop is a type of establishment where bottles or jars are brought in, filled with craft beer, and the consumer leaves the premises before consuming the beer.

A reading of the current ordinance was presented during last week’s meeting at Clayton City Hall, Clayton Mayor Jordan Green says that the ordinance could change during next month’s meeting.

The Clayton City Council meets every 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of the month, at 4PM at the Clayton City Courtroom.
