Habersham County man arrested

A Clarkesville man has been arrested due to an incident on Monday night.

According to NowHabersham.com, the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office assisted Habersham Sheriffs to a call on Railroad Avenue, off of old Highway 441 in Clarkesville. There, they found illegal narcotics.

According to the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, 28 year old Stuart Eric Warrensford was arrested without incident after Habersham authorities discovered suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale, drug related objects and suspected marijuana. The street value of the drugs is approximately $500.

Warrensford was transported to the Habersham County Detention Center, and was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute as well as possession of marijuana of less than one ounce. He was also charged with battery under the Family Violence Act.
