Habersham County Bank Robber Suspect in Custody

The suspect in a December bank robbery in Habersham County has been taken into custody.

Warrants were issued, and the GBI announced that the suspect, 36 year old James Villavasso of Norcross has been arrested.

On December 22, Traditions Bank in Cornelia was robbed by who was believed to be a male, wearing camo and a spiderman mask. The suspect was believed to be holding a device, claiming that it was a bomb, and walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Villavasso was arrested by Johns Creek Police, after he robbed a bank outside of their city.

Villavasso is currently being held in the Fulton County Detention Center.
