Clayton Branch of NE Georgia Food Bank Moving to Larger Location

The Foodbank of Northeast Georgia, Clayton branch, has moved to a larger location, at the old Bi-Lo grocery store on Highway 441.

Speaking with branch director, James Brim, he says that the new location will be very beneficial once it opens. “It’s great, because we can put more food in here.” says Brim, “With the facilities we have here, we can almost do a lot of counties. Bouncing off of Athens, we can almost supply every county that we need to, and anyone that needs help.”

The grand opening is set for July 23rd. Brim provides details for that day. “We are going to give people tours of the plant, and let them know what we do, and give them a tour of the kitchen.  We have a production line that shows people what we are doing to process the second hand products from farmers.”
