Board of Education Met Thrusday

The Rabun County Board of Education met thursday evening

We had the privilege of meeting part of cast from Pippen the recent play put on by the high school.

Going by the presentations made it seems creativity and innovation are thriving in the school system.

With creative methods of discipline that are aimed at helping the child change their behavior through understanding and participation in the process not just fear of consequences and programs that help a child

Get a sense of ownership in the school not that they are just passing through..

 

The school calendar for next year was adopted.Some changes of interest august 21 there will be early release

For the solar eclipse.The friday before the Thanksgiving holiday and the friday before the Christmas break will also be early release days.
