Sky Valley and Tallulah Falls handle their own elections. Those should be available tomorrow.

October 11th last day to register to vote for this election.

Karon Miller, Mayoral candidate and challenger to incumbent mayor Tom Ramey, Jr., has formally filed a complaint with Rabun County Board of Elections as to the legitimacy of Mayor Ramey’s election bid. Miller claims that Ramey has not lived at his current resident in the Town for his most recent term as Mayor. Elections Supervisor Tammy Whitmire said that a hearing in front of the Board of Elections will take place before the election to hear arguments from both sides. According to Whitmire, if Mayor Ramey is found to be ineligible, his name will be struck from the ballot. That Hearing will be at 11:30 this Wednesday September 9th, in the Elections Office.
