All Eyes on Election Day

Early voting wrapped up Friday for the May 24th primary in the state of Georgia, and the big day is tomorrow for those seeking seats on the county commission, board of education, senate, among others.

Rabun County had one of the state’s highest turnouts during the early voting period, beating out many counties with higher populations. Board of Elections Supervisor Tammy Whitmire says that she was overall impressed with the voter turnout. She says that the daily total ranged anywhere between 99 and 200.

If a resident did not have a chance to vote during the early voting period, Whitmire provides election day information:

Election Day Voting will take place at the Rabun County Civic Center from 7AM until 7PM. If a resident has received an absentee ballot, they can walk in with the ballot during election hours.

The Rabun County Civic Center is located at 201 West Savannah Street, Clayton.
